Thanks to production issues in relation to COVID-19, the release of Commander Legends has been pushed back to Nov. 20, 2020.
The delay affects the set's entire global release, which was originally scheduled for Nov. 6, and includes draft boosters, collector boosters, and commander decks.
"We know players are excited for this release, and for that reason we've decided to move the launch back to provide all players a complete Magic experience at the same time," says Wizards of the Coast. "We continue to adapt to a world transformed, and we appreciate your continued patience as we manage these new challenges. We plan to deliver our products as soon as it is both feasible and safe, and we will continue to prioritize the health and safety of our employees and partners."
The Commander Legends prerelease is also affected by the the delay. Prereleases will now occur beginning Nov. 13, though in regions where in-store play is paused, organizers are only being allowed to run at-home and remote events. Despite the date change, prerelease promos will have the previous date stamp on them.
Also, WotC says card previews are also being pushed back. They will now begin Oct. 26.
On Magic Online, product and events will be available Thursday, November 19, 2020.
