According to a brief announcement from Wizards of the Coast Monday, Magic: The Gathering will soon no longer be available in three languages: Russian, Korean, and traditional Chinese.
"While we do not plan to publish tabletop Magic in these languages, we will continue to fully support Wizards Play Network stores with WPN events and promos, though promos and other products will be in English," says the company. "Additionally, Magic: The Gathering Arena will continue to support Korean and Russian."
This change begins with the release of Dominaria United later this year. Once that occurs, the game will only be available in English, Japanese, Chinese (Simplified), French, Italian, German, Spanish, and Portuguese. And, even then, not for every product.
"While not all products are available in all languages, our premier sets and other ancillary releases will focus on these eight languages," says WotC.
Dominaria United is expected to release Sept. 9.
