Magic: The Gathering's Invasion set came out in September of 2000 and kicked off the Invasion block, which consists of Invasion (of course), Planeshift, and Apocalypse.

A 350-card set, Invasion boasts a handful of memorable and valuable cards including Phyrexian Altar, Aura Shards, Captain Sisay, and Empress Galina -- each of those cards (at the time of this article's publication) are work between $11.00 to nearly $28.00.  After that, however, things begin to drop quickly with many of the set's 110 rares falling into the bulk bin according to the website TCGPlayer.
