Say what you will about the Gatewatch as a story trope (yes, yes, we've all heard those all-too-original "Jacetice League" jokes by now), the set is actually better than many give it credit for. And it boasts a handful of cards worth far more than the cost of a booster pack.
Topping that list is the Eldrazi titan, Kozilek, the Great Distortion, which clocks in (at time of writing) at $18.83 according to MTGStocks. Other high value cards in the set include Kalitas, Traitor of Ghet and Kozilek's Return -- both of which book at more than ten bucks apiece. There are also a handful of other cards worth mentioning: Zendikar Resurgent, Though-Knot Seer, and Eldrazi Displacer with each card being worth between four and seven bucks each.
Magic Untapped only spent $9 ($2.99 per pack) on this trio of Oath of the Gatewatch booster packs (in French, no less), which were purchased from ABU Games in Boise, Idaho.
