In January of 2017, the second set in the Kaladesh block, Aether Revolt, was released. With it came 184 cards, including 42 rares and 12 mythic rares.
The set also included a new assortment of "invention" cards, which were foil-only reprints of artifacts from Magic: The Gathering's past with a special frame. As these cards were only found in an extreme minority of packs, they tend to carry a pretty good price tag ranging (in the case of Aether Revolt) from $40 for a Black Vise up to the high $200s for a Chalice of the Void.
As for the main set, however, there isn't a whole lot of value to be had. In fact, only three cards are worth more than ten bucks apiece:
- Mechanized Production, a mythic rare that clocks in at right around $16.50;
- Walking Ballista, a rare artifact creature that lists at roughly $15.00, and;
- Heroic Intervention, a green rare instant that's priced at just shy of $12.00.
Magic Untapped picked up a half dozen booster packs of Aether Revolt from Natural 20 Games in Henderson, Nev., for $4.99 apiece. That's essentially $30 for the whole lot
