Let's crack open some booster packs of Legions!

Released in February of 2003, Legions is the 28th expansion for Magic: The Gathering.  It consists of only 145 cards; of which, 44 are rare (mythic rares were not yet a thing).  And, something unique about the set, it consists of one hundred percent creatures -- no non-creature spells or lands at all.

Overall, the set released to a mixed response.  As such, the card values to be found in Legions aren't as high as they could be despite the set being more than 20 years old.

In fact, the set's most expensive card, Synapse Sliver, is only worth about $25, followed by:

Magic Untapped picked up a trio of Legions booster packs from Tier 1 Games of Temecula, California, during the Dreamhack San Diego 2023 gaming convention in early April.  They cost us a whopping $30 apiece (which is roughly $5 more than the set's most expensive non-foil card).  In total, that's $90 spent.
