Hasbro reports a 17 percent increase in revenue in the first quarter of 2025 led in large by gains in the company's Wizards of the Coast and Digital Gaming segment.
According to the company's Q1 2025 financial results, WotC revenue increased 46 percent behind strong growth in Magic: The Gathering as well as ongoing momentum in digital and licensed gaming and Dungeons & Dragons. Magic: The Gathering itself saw a 45 percent increase in revenue with growth reported in tabletop and Magic: The Gathering - Arena.
“We delivered strong revenue growth and a meaningful profit lift in Q1, driven by a strategic shift toward higher-margin businesses," said Gina Goetter, Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer at Hasbro. "As we progress toward our $1 billion cost savings goal, the strength of Wizards, licensing, and our asset-light model continues to offset tariff pressures and support margins.”
Hasbro's Consumer Products segment, which includes Beyblade, Transformers, Monopoly, and licensed products, saw a Q1 revenue decrease of four percent. Revenues in the company's Entertainment segment experienced a five percent drop.
Furthermore, the company states that President Trump's various tariffs had no material impact on Q1 results. Hasbro says this is due to the timing of the tariffs' implementations.
