Hasbro Supports MagiKids for its Annual Global Day of Joy

Hasbro, parent company of Magic: The Gathering maker Wizards of the Coast, chose to support MagiKids for its annual Global Day of Giving initiative.

MagiKids, a 501(3)(c) nonprofit organization, helps to foster the intellectual health of children and young adults across the United States by turning unused Magic: The Gathering cards and accessories into learning and fun.

"We work with educators, teachers, librarians, other leaders of youth programs all across the country," explains Natalie Rosin, MagiKids' administration lead.

One of the ways the nonprofit does this is by assembling kids that they send out to schools and other approved entities.  These kits include thousands of curated Magic cards as well as instructional materials and various Magic gear like deck boxes, sleeves, and dice.

As part of the company's Global Day of Giving, representatives from both Hasbro and Card Kingdom helped to assemble roughly 1,000 kids that will find their way to existing MagiKids programs across the country to help those organizations maintain their programs.
