Longtime Magic: The Gathering artist, Phil Foglio, launches a Kickstarter campaign for tokens featuring brand new, never before seen art by the artist.
According to the campaign, 36 tokens will be available at launch. An additional 36 will be unlocked through the campaign's stretch goals, all featuring more new, never-before-seen Phil Foglio artwork.
"Not only that, but backers will be able upgrade the token box, as well add a PURPLE gilt edge to each token through Stretch Goals," says Foglio via the campaign. "We're aiming to create something truly unique, and you can help make it happen."
Here's the initial batch of 36 tokens that are already included in the campaign:
All of the tokens will be printed on high-quality, blue core card stock with a smooth finish, according to the campaign web page.
Also included in the campaign is a metal "The Monarch" token featuring artwork inspired by Folgio's Fifth Edition Goblin King illustration. The metal token is available in the campaign's "The Monarch Bundle" as well as it's "Collector's Bundle."
Support for the campaign begins at $30, which includes all 36 tokens plus any stretch goals. The Monarch Bundle is at $39 with a few more tiers available up to the $240 Collector Bundle, which includes five token sets, metal tokens, and an uncut sheet.
"We are looking for the strongest Day One possible," Foglio says through the campaign.
