A new Secret Lair release is coming out later this month designed with women in mind.
Called Their Magic is Limitless, it's a limited-run Secret Lair drop that will be printed to demand and availble for purchase from the Secret Lair website for Magic: The Gathering from July 20 through Aug. 3. According to Wizards of the Coast, the drop will be priced at $39.99 USD for the non-foil version and $49.99 USD for the foil version. Half of the sales price (save for third-party transaction fees) will be donated to Globat Fund for Women.
The drop was compiled by an all-female creative team at Wizards of the Coast.
"I am beyond proud of this drop and everyone who contributed to it -- a testament to the limitless expressions of womenhood," states narrative design mentor Lauren Bond.
The drop includes the cards Dark Ritual, Sol Ring, Cultivate, Finale of Devasation, Path of Ancestry, Coat of Arms, and Lathril, Blade of the Elves. Each of the cards are borderless and feature all-new artwork from Livia Prima, Julie Dillon, Magali Villenueve, Caroline Gariba, Fury Galluzzi, Lena Richards, and Ivy Dolamore.
"We want this drop to be a celebration of women and empowerment to showcase our relentless strength and leadership in contrast with our nurturing kindness," explains art director Mentee Anh Nguyen. "This drop means to much to me personally, and I am so lucky to be working alongside a team of amazing and talented women to bring this vision to life with fantastic artists."
Global Fund for Women is a feminist fund that looks to further gender justice worldwide by supporting grassroots organizations globally.
