Wizards of the Coast president, Cynthia Williams, is stepping down according to a form filed with the United States Securities and Exchange Commission Wednesday.

In the filing from parent company, Hasbro, Inc., the company says that Williams informed them of her intent to step down on Monday, April 15.  Hasbro says they are in the process of conducting a process to identify her successor and is looking at candidates both internal and outside of the company.

Williams' departure will be the latest in a number of changes with the higher-ups at Hasbro after the company saw new faces join its board of directors.

On March 21, Frank Gibeau, President of Zynga, Darin Harris, Chief Executive Officer of Jack in the Box Inc., and Owen Mahoney, former President and Chief Executive Officer of Nexon Co. Ltd., were appointed to the board.  Furthermore, existing board members Tracy Leinbach, Linda Zecher Higgins, and Michael Burns announced their intent to retire from the board after the company's 2024 Annual Meeting.

Williams' last day as WotC president is April 26.

Magic Untapped has reached out to Wizards of the Coast for comment.  This story will be updated if/when the company responds.
